Terms of Service

GimKit Join provides free tools to create and host live quiz games in class. Features include room codes, game modes, templates, and virtual money mechanics.

We may add, change, or remove features. We try to keep the core host and join flow working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

You can host without creating an account. You are responsible for anything that happens under a room code you create.

Do not share host controls with people you do not trust. End games when class is over so codes cannot be reused without you.

You agree not to:

• Use GimKit Join for harassment, hate speech, or illegal content.
• Upload questions that violate copyright or someone else's privacy.
• Attempt to break, overload, or scrape the service without permission.
• Impersonate another person, school, or company.
• Use bots or scripts to disrupt live games.

We may suspend access if we believe these rules were broken.

You keep ownership of quiz questions you write. By hosting a game, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content only so the live session works for your players.

Public templates on GimKit Join are provided for classroom use. Do not copy proprietary tests or paid materials you do not have rights to share.

GimKit Join is offered free to educators at our discretion. We may introduce optional paid features later. Free hosting may include fair use limits on rooms, players, or storage to keep the site stable.

GimKit Join is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that every answer in a template is correct for your curriculum. Verify content before you use it in class.

We are not liable for indirect damages, lost data, or issues caused by network outages, device problems, or misuse of room codes. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, which for free users is zero.

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your quiz content, your conduct as a host, or your violation of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where we operate the service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should first be raised by email at [email protected] so we can try to resolve them informally.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. If you keep using GimKit Join after changes go live, you accept the updated terms.
